A meeting was held between the National Union of Medical Laboratory Technologists, Ministry of Health Malaysia (KKJTMP) and various bodies representing the medical laboratory technologists in both government and private sector was held on 16th February 2020 (Saturday) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Setia Alam, Selangor. 

The meeting was called by KKJTMP to discuss about the future direction and issues pertaining to the medical laboratory technologist profession in Malaysia and to plan for upcoming programs to be held this year.

Other than MIMLS, the meeting was also attended by representatives from the Sarawak Union of Medical Laboratory Technologists, Ministry of Health Malaysia (KJTMPS), Malaysian Society of Medical Laboratory Technologist (MSMLT) as well as MLTs from the public universities.

MIMLS was represented at this meeting by our President Mr. Khew Jye Kang, Past President Ms. Faridah Robiah Ismail and Honorary Secretary Mr. Tan Kian Shing.

We are looking forward to a fruitful collaboration towards a unified and stronger medical laboratory profession!
